Environmental Studies

The mission of the Environmental Studies minor is to increase awareness of the interrelationships that exist between humans and the natural environment. Students will broaden their understanding of environmental issues as well as connections between human-made and natural environments. Knowledge and skills acquired through the program will help prepare students for further academic studies or for an environment-related career.

Why Study Environmental Studies?

The flexibility of the Environmental Studies curriculum enables students from various disciplines across the University explore their interests in the environment. This highly multidisciplinary program incorporates courses from across the sciences, liberal arts, technology, and the humanities including biological sciences, chemistry, physics, geography, geology, agriculture, sociology, technology, anthropology, and philosophy.
