Information Systems - Web Application Development

The Internet was initially designed for delivering documents across systems, but it's now used as a platform for sophisticated interactive systems used to perform complex tasks. The Web Application Development sequence focuses on the learning and application of web design and development knowledge to solve real-world problems, especially in the areas of business computing.

Students learn state-of-the-art web development design principles, methodologies and technologies through hands-on experience with real-world projects. The topics include client and server-side scripting, web interface design, web frameworks, mobile application development, web database processing, web application testing, and evaluation.

Illinois State's preferred filing period for freshman students for the fall semester is September 1-November 15. Applying early is encouraged, as the University must limit enrollment due to space at the University and in specific majors/programs. Visit the Office of Admissions to apply today!

Without IT 168 in Java or both IT 168 and either 178 or 179 (Introduction to Data Structures) in any language, it is difficult to complete the program in 4 semesters even with an associate's degree.
